Where to install AppDynamics App and Add-on?

Where should I install Splunk App for AppDynamics and Splunk Add-on for AppDynamics ?

Add-on @ Indexer and App @ Search Head?

although its not mention how to install and where to install on a distributed or clustered environment.
I am positive that the TA should be installed on all components, e.g Search Head, Indexer and if you are using Heavy Forwarder to collect the data, enable the input from there.
the App wit the visualizations, dashboards etc should be installed on the Search Head.
