We’ve discovered a bug that affected the auto-clear of Synthetic Detectors in the Splunk Synthetic Monitoring platform. Synthetic Detectors will be restarted to ensure the issue is fixed for existing detectors. In this restart, customers with Synthetic Detectors that have active alerts will receive a notification indicating the detector has stopped. Example message contents: [‘Rule "Testing Detector Migration" in detector "Testing Detector Migration" was stopped at Mon, 17 Feb 2025 14:36:19 GMT UTC.”] A new alert may be triggered as a result of incoming data from the detector restart. End of Support: December 31, 2021 End of Life: December 31, 2021 What is the impact on your Splunk MINT application? Splunk MINT SDK Splunk will not provide any updates/bug fixes to the MINT SDK. Splunk will remove the download links for the MINT SDK.  Splunk MINT Management Console (including MINT Web Service) The MINT web service will be unavailable after Dec 31 2021. Any data sent to the MINT web service will not be captured / stored. You will not see a disruption in service if you're not using the MINT web service and sending data to the Splunk platform via HEC.  Splunk MINT Add-on Since the MINT management console and the MINT web service will be discontinued, this add-on will not pull any information.  Splunk MINT App If you're using the dashboards provided by the Splunk MINT App, you will start seeing a banner that states the plugin is not supported. The MINT dashboards can be built using the best practices provided in the example searches. As a current user of the Splunk App for Content Packs (SA4CP), we have some important information to share with you.   On October 27th we just released version 1.4 of the SA4CP. As part of this release we observed that some IT Service Intelligence (ITSI) objects of the Content Pack for Splunk Observability Cloud conflict with already existing objects in some content packs (e.g., Content Pack for Splunk Infrastructure Monitoring and Content Pack for Splunk Synthetics). Please refer to this document for such objects. As ITSI does not allow object installation/creation with the same name, if you have already installed other content packs with these object naming conflicts, you will see an error when Content Pack for Splunk Observability Cloud is installed, even though the definition of these objects are different. To address this ITSI object conflict, we have decided to remove the Content Pack for Splunk Infrastructure Monitoring and the Content Pack for Splunk Synthetics from the SA4CP v1.4.0 packaging as Content Pack for Splunk Observability Cloud replaces these content packs.
